The misty conditions on Saturday 10 February 2024, caused the golfers to tee off a whole hour later, due to bad visibility and somewhat dangerous conditions. The rain came after the mist cleared, in an on and off drizzle,  but did not deter the eventual winner.
Many of the golfers also took this as a training session for the “Earl’s Cup,” that is to be played in two weeks time, when St Cathryn’s take on Greytown golf club in a “Ryder Cup” format over two days, played at  both  courses  on 24 and 25 February 2024.
Support came from our Gauteng based members, Westville and local golfers and we hosted a three ball from Ballito.
Besides the wet conditions on the course, the rough was friendly and the greens slower that normal and that could be attributed to the wet conditions.
 The Standard Bank Pairs ( a new tournament within a tournament) was also played during the Farmers Agri-Care Monthly Mug and replaced the previous competition  known as the Windhoek pairs.
