The Farmers Agri-care Monthly Mug played over the weekend (15 May 2021) had the best Autumn weather with, mid twenty degree temperatures and a green golf course as the normal May frosts have not arrived yet. The slight wind that started the day off, died down later.
Seven Oakes golfer Andre Liddemore showed that he can play in all types of weather by walking over Club Captain Fanie van Wyk, who had carded four birdies on his scorecard but that was not good enough to win. Spare a thought for the greenkeeper who found all the uncut places in the rough, the overhanging tree brunches, the casual water and most parts of the dam… to take the Captains putter.
A good mixed bag of competitors in the field – with two husband and wife teams, and a father in law – son in law combination, a visitor from Noodsburg and our very own Sargent Major ET among others.
